Pasta with sardines in tomato sauce
For 4-5 generous servings of sardine pasta, you need:
25o gr paste according to preference
350 ml of tomato sauce or 3-4 scalded, decorated and fried tomatoes
300 gr canned sardines drained of oil (2 cans of 24o gr)
½ chopped red bell peppers
1 small bunch of green onions
2-3 tablespoons olive oil
salt and black pepper
1. Heat the oil in a large skillet. Cook the finely chopped pepper, add the onion and mix quickly. Then add the tomato sauce and simmer for 2-3 minutes. If you use fresh ripened tomatoes, then it's time to season with salt and pepper.
2. Boil the al dente paste according to the instructions on the package.
3. Chop the sardines with a fork and add them to the pan. Season with salt, pepper and oregano and simmer for about 10 minutes on low heat. Then add the cooked pasta and mix quickly until the tomato sauce & # 8220contains & # 8221 the pasta. Boil on low heat for about 10 minutes until all flavors are combined. If you want more sauce, add a little water in which they boiled pasta or tomato sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Note: I have been using homemade tomato sauce since autumn. It already contains salt, onion and pepper. If you use fresh chopped tomatoes or tomatoes in your own canned juice, it would be good to adjust the salt and pepper, but also the cooking time.
